Fotografo matrimoni, battesimi, lauree, compleanni, gravidanze, ritratti, eventi aziendali e sport in tutta la Toscana. Accanto a ogni servizio fotografico realizzo anche riprese video, perché ormai quasi nessuno vuole soltanto le fotografie: vuole anche un minuto da mandare a chi non c’era.

Wedding photographer

The most comprehensive service I offer: pre-wedding preparations, the ceremony, the reception and portraits of the bride and groom. A documentary-style reportage, with posed shots kept to an absolute minimum. Video filming with editing and a photo booth for the reception are also available on request. I work throughout Tuscany and on Lake Como.

Christening photographer

A church ceremony and a family celebration, with a low-key approach: in church, you don’t move about during the service and you don’t use a flash. The real value lies in the celebration, where relatives who haven’t seen each other for years get together and children do whatever they like.

Graduation photographer

The graduation ceremony, portraits with the academic cap, the celebrations. An event that lasts just a few hours but needs to be well organised, because the graduation ceremony is a one-off and venues at Tuscan universities are often cramped and crowded.

I photograph birthdays and 18th birthday parties

Private parties, 18th birthday celebrations, photo shoots at a villa. This is where video really comes into its own: a one-and-a-half-minute video recap of a party circulates amongst the guests for weeks – something a photo album simply can’t do.

Maternity photographer

Maternity photo sessions in the studio, on location and at home, typically between the 28th and 34th weeks of pregnancy. Newborn photo sessions are also available on request during the first few days of life, shot in the same style.

The video, on every programme

Le riprese video non sono un servizio separato ma un’aggiunta possibile su quasi tutto quello che faccio: montaggio del matrimonio, clip di una festa, highlight sportivi, video ritratto per chi lavora in proprio, presentazioni aziendali.

When both photos and videos are requested for the same event, at smaller events I handle both by alternating between them; at major events, where missing a moment is not an option, I work with a colleague so that neither type of content is neglected. The difference is specified in the quote.

I’m delivering the main edit plus the vertical clips for social media, taken from the same footage: these are two different formats, and this needs to be taken into account during filming, not during editing.

Firenze è la provincia da cui arriva il maggior numero di richieste, e la più varia: matrimoni nelle ville sulle colline, lauree negli atenei cittadini, eventi aziendali nei centri congressi, ritratti per il mondo creativo e artigiano, sport tra stadio e palazzetti. La densità di location è tale che quasi ogni servizio trova qui la sua versione più scenografica, e anche la più affollata: le esterne vanno programmate presto la mattina o nell’ultima ora di luce.

A Prato lavoro molto con le aziende, soprattutto del tessile: ritratti d’azienda, documentazione delle lavorazioni, video di presentazione per fiere di settore. Sul versante privato prevalgono battesimi, compleanni e servizi a domicilio, favoriti dal fatto che la città è compatta e gli spostamenti brevi. Il rugby è l’altro capitolo pratese, con una tradizione che poche città italiane hanno.

Being in Serravalle Pistoiese means I can arrange appointments at short notice, reschedule a date without any hassle, and cover an entire sporting season without travel costs eating into the budget. Lucca offre una cosa che altrove manca: le Mura, un anello verde in piano e all’ombra, comodo per servizi di gravidanza e ritratti e scenografico per i matrimoni. Attorno alla città le ville lucchesi sono tra le location matrimoniali più richieste della regione. Il tessuto locale porta poi musicisti e creativi, che sono soggetti frequenti dei miei ritratti.

La costa apuana mette in una sola inquadratura il mare e le montagne, cosa che in Toscana succede solo qui: al tramonto è una delle migliori location per gravidanze e matrimoni sulla spiaggia. Nell’entroterra, le cave di marmo e i laboratori di scultura sono un contesto unico per il ritratto ambientato, e le Apuane portano trail e corse in montagna.

Pisa è città universitaria, e questo definisce buona parte del lavoro: lauree, ritratti per ricercatori e docenti, video di presentazione per gruppi di ricerca. Accanto a questo il canottaggio sull’Arno, le esterne sui Lungarni nelle prime ore e il Parco di San Rossore, che offre spazi naturali accessibili anche a chi non può camminare molto.

A Livorno il mare è la risorsa principale: matrimoni sulla costa, gravidanze al tramonto sul Tirreno, ritratti ambientati nella Venezia Nuova e nel mondo del lavoro portuale. Sul fronte sportivo la città ha una tradizione cestistica forte e tutto ciò che si svolge sull’acqua, dalla vela alle manifestazioni in mare.

Arezzo è la capitale italiana dell’oreficeria, e il lavoro fotografico riflette questo: ritratti di orafi, documentazione delle lavorazioni, video per un mercato prevalentemente estero. Sul versante privato la Valdichiana e il Casentino offrono due paesaggi molto diversi a poca distanza, utili sia per matrimoni sia per esterne di gravidanza e ritratto.

The Crete Senesi are the most recognisable landscape in Tuscany and the most sought-after location for weddings and outdoor shoots. In the city, I work on graduation photos, portraits and photo shoots linked to the world of the ‘contrade’, where a sense of belonging is part of the story. Every spring, the area also hosts one of the most photogenic cycle races of the season.

Photography and video services in Grosseto

The Maremma is the least built-up part of the region: pine forests stretching right down to the sand, deserted beaches out of season, and unspoilt countryside. For those seeking natural scenery, free from tourist backdrops, it is the perfect choice. When it comes to sport, Grosseto is the Italian capital of baseball, and equestrian events are another hallmark of the area.

Before

Let’s get in touch to work out exactly what’s needed: duration, venues, number of people, and whether you’d like a video as well as photos. I prefer a quote based on your actual requirements rather than fixed packages, which often end up charging you for things you don’t need or leaving out what really matters.

During

Reportage, non messa in scena. Nelle cerimonie non mi muovo durante i momenti importanti e non uso il flash dove non si deve. La parte in posa esiste dove ha senso — i ritratti degli sposi, la foto di squadra, il ritratto d’azienda — e si esaurisce in fretta.

After

A private, password-protected online gallery with full-resolution downloads. Photos available within 72 hours; video editing within five days. For those who need to publish the same day, we can arrange for a short selection to be delivered in the evening.

How much do photo shoots cost?

I don’t publish a fixed price list for a practical reason: a two-hour christening and a twelve-hour wedding, a single portrait and portraits of twenty-five athletes are not comparable, and a price list that covers them all ends up being inaccurate in both directions.

What I can guarantee is a written, detailed, no-obligation quote, usually within a day of your enquiry. Please let me know the type of service, the date, the area and what you need: if something you’ve asked for isn’t cost-effective, I’ll let you know beforehand rather than charging you for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

In which parts of Tuscany do you work?

In all ten provinces: Florence, Prato, Pistoia, Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Pisa, Livorno, Arezzo, Siena and Grosseto. I’m based in Serravalle Pistoiese, so travel to neighbouring provinces doesn’t affect the quote. For weddings, I also regularly work on Lake Como.

Do you take both photos and videos?

Yes, for almost all events. For smaller events, I handle both, alternating between them; for major events, I work with a colleague, so that neither the photos nor the video suffer. The arrangement is set out in the quote.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For weddings, allow eight to twelve months’ notice – or longer if the date falls between May and September. For ceremonies, portrait sessions and maternity shoots, two or three weeks’ notice is sufficient. For corporate and sporting events, even less is required, subject to the calendar.

How long does delivery take?

Photographs will be uploaded to a private online gallery within 72 hours, and the video edit will be ready within five days. If you need anything published the same day, we’ll arrange for a small selection to be delivered in the evening.

Are the galleries private?

Yes, they are password-protected and not indexed by search engines. I do not publish images of clients in my portfolio or on social media without their written consent, and when it comes to personal services such as pregnancy photography, this is a rule to which there are no exceptions.

Are there packages covering multiple services?

Yes. Whether it’s a pregnancy and newborn shoot combined, a wedding with a photo booth, or an entire sporting season for a club: in all these cases, the total cost is less than the sum of the individual services.

Do you also work outside Tuscany?

For weddings on Lake Como, this is the usual arrangement. For other cases, we discuss this on a case-by-case basis, agreeing on the travel arrangements when the quote is drawn up.
